Isabelle Roche Cerasi is a research scientist working at the department of Mobility of SINTEF Community in Trondheim in Norway. SINTEF is the largest non-profit research institute in Scandinavia with more than 2,100 employees. Isabelle got her Ph.D. degree in Physics in France in 1995 and worked on traffic safety, risk factors and accidents for the French national institute for transport and safety. She moved to Norway in 2000, worked at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and started at SINTEF in 2007. She has extensive expertise in traffic safety and human factors and has been involved in many European and national projects related to traffic safety measures, human factors, automated vehicles, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. These last years, she focused her interests on the introduction of modern and automated vehicles and the safety assessment of driving support systems, in-vehicle infotainment systems, driver distraction and Human Machine Interfaces. She recently participated in describing the inherent issues related to the transition phases towards fully automation for the Norwegian Public Road Administration and the consequences for the national driver education and training programs.
